A Great Night Out

I was getting a little stir crazy when my hubby suggested we go with some friends to http://starlightdrivein.com/#/movies/ . So happy we did. If you are on a budget, (who isn't with this economy) then this is a wonderful way to go see a movie. For only $7 a person ($1 for kids), you get to watch two movies. The best part was we brought our own food and grilled out before the movies started. If you don't feel like cooking or bringing a picnic then they do have a great snack shop for the traditional popcorn, nachos etc. Most of our friends brought chairs to place in front of their cars so they could sit in a group and yap through the movie. I will remember to do this when we go again. Since we didn't bring chairs, we just sat in the car and snuggled. How romantic is that? Anyways, if you are in the Atlanta area this would be a great way to spend a Sat night. Oh, and for those peeps who love to go to flea markets. The Starlight Drivein is a big flea market on Sat during the day hours. Cool huh? I plan on going next Saturday.

Journey into the Night

lay down
your head upon the pillow soft
breathe in a daylight end
and take a journey within the night with me
fly away into the warmth
of passionate embrace
laced with just a hint of slumber sweet
kisses upon the neck of time
flows along heated pools of water
crying softly as cares of days gone by
unleash the tears upon thy cheek
journey now with arms embracing
the night howling of lonely sighs
gasping breath with each hand reaching
oh journey into the night with me
and see the dreams of one whose heart
cries out for a world of peace, of laughter,
of childhood innocence and wisdom lost
yet could be won the war
because of the lifetimes lived, the journeys given
the dreams told and retold and sought
the love of life valiantly fought as each breath
each wisp of souls light caught
taught the dreams how to truly live
by taking that heartfelt jouney into
the night
come with me
dream with me
oh wonderous night
take hold of my soul and let it fly
let the journey be one of loves embrace
let the journey be with you my friend
and take flight to world of euphoric zen

Within the next couple of months, I will blog about the world of art. All art, not just painting. Photography, music, theatre, dance, sculptor are all forms of art that we as the human race can use to inspire as well as receive inspiration from. There will be several artists that I will inform you about. Also if you would like a review as an artist just let me know. Featuring new artists and helping them "get their talent exposed" will become a major part of my blog. I have struggled as a painter and at times become discouraged because of lack of recognition. I understand how it feels to just want that "first sale" or to at least have my talent appreciated; therefore, it is one of my desires to help others become accomplished and noticed.
